I just spent some time photographing this beauty, which blooms for only one night. It’s the only flower I got this year, after neglecting the poor plant over last winter as it was in a back room where I forgot about it. It survived looking hardly worse for it.
This is one of my favorite flowers: very showy, large, and nicely scented, though that gets a bit heady after I’ve been closely photographing it for half an hour. So you can enjoy it from afar. It’s around 19 cm across, or 7.5″.
